About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and growth-minded Associate Bookkeeper to join our team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our clients with accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients (mainly in construction/trades)

  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly

  • Record and categorize transactions accurately

  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable schedules

  • Support payroll processing and GST/HST filings

  • Assist with month-end close and reporting packages

  • Collaborate with our CFOs to ensure timely and accurate financial data

  • Communicate directly with clients to collect information and resolve issues

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (public practice or client-facing preferred)

  • Solid knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Xero

  • Familiarity with Dext, Hubdoc, Wagepoint, or other cloud accounting tools is a plus

  • Understanding of Canadian tax (GST/HST, payroll, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and client service skills

  • Bonus: Experience working with construction or project-based businesses
